SHKSPR Theatre Company
My goal was to create a bold and modern identity for SHKSPR, an Australian theatre company bringing fresh energy to Shakespeare’s classics. Using vibrant designs and engaging posters, the branding connects with loyal fans and new audiences, mixing tradition with a contemporary twist.
-
SHKSPR is where timeless storytelling meets daring design. This project challenged me to bring Shakespeare’s works into a fresh, contemporary light while respecting their classic roots. The result? A vibrant, cohesive brand identity that reimagines the theater experience for a modern audience.
-
The task was to create a visual identity for SHKSPR, a new Australian theater company specialising in modern interpretations of Shakespeare. The brand needed to feel fresh, engaging, and inclusive—capturing the essence of Shakespeare’s narratives while appealing to both long-time theater lovers and newcomers.
-
My process involved:
Crafting the Logotype:
The SHKSPR logo became the foundation of the brand. By combining custom typography with bold, vibrant shapes, I created a dynamic mark that represents the energy and playfulness of the company’s productions. The design balances Shakespeare’s gravity with a contemporary edge, making it instantly recognisable and approachable.Designing Performance Posters:
For Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet, I designed posters that visually embodied the emotional core of each play. Each design added a layer of storytelling, creating an emotional and visual connection with audiences.Building a Cohesive Brand:
Every element—from the logo to the promotional materials—was designed to align with SHKSPR’s mission of blending tradition with modernity. The vibrant shapes and contemporary typography worked together to create a consistent, energetic brand identity.

The SHKSPR brand feels alive, inviting, and relevant. The logotype and poster designs connect with audiences on an emotional level, drawing them into the stories and the theater’s unique vision. The visuals don’t just promote the performances—they spark curiosity and engagement, making Shakespeare feel accessible and exciting for everyone.
